Arcs De Monells

The hotel is one of the most symbolic buildings in this small village as it was originally a hospital founded in 1364. The outbuildings of this Catalan building have all been lovingly restored and renovated into exclusive rooms, each one dedicated to Catalan historical figures such as Salvador Dalí and retain much of the original allure.

The accommodation is comfortable, modern and well equipped with lots of character, set in a picturesque countryside environment, together with good food makes the hotel a great choice for a relaxing stay.

There is communal lounge with TV, library and an Internet corner. As well as a Café, bar and swimming pool and parking, all of which are set in 3 acres of garden.

The Hotel has 23 rooms, 3 of them are Junior-Suites, with exterior view.

The hotel’s restaurant can hold up to 90 guests. Homemade, Mediterranean cuisine, that uses fresh, local ingredients and has a select wine menu.

The town was built around the old castle, of which now only ruins remain. Monells is a lovely place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside and stroll around through the arches and stone doorway in at the ‘Plaça Major’ square and admire the ‘quirky’ stone houses built over archways.

Take the AP-7 Road until you reach Exit 6 - Girona North, turn off here on to the C66 Road until you pass Celra,
Take direction Celrà Road C66, once passed Celra, continue in the direction of Flaça taking the GIV-6702 Road to
the village Madremanya.

After this you arrive at Monells, follow the main road and turn right before the brigde, the hotel is just past the river.
